As a former biology professor, curriculum creator, program developer, and current homeschool mama, I love leading fun learning activities!

I am able to offer several options, and am happy to visit your school or program.
Rewriting the Rules is marketed for 1st-4th grade, but my school visit is completely adaptable to various ages.

Rewriting the Rules is a great fit for anti-ableism curriculum
as it shares the real-life story of an award-winning activist for disability rights.

For all visits, books are available for purchase and I'm happy to sign them!

  • Ages 6-10

Age-appropriate science lessons on the brain, brain sizes, brain regions, neurons and how they work, combined with a book read.

    Options include:

Students may make their own brain hats, construct playdoh brains, and/or create their own neuron models.

Students can explore areas of the brain and how they correspond to certain functions, while identifying brain regions they would like to adapt and grow.

Neuron and brain games are also available.

I provide all brain models and materials.

  • Upper Elementary - High School

I adapt lessons accordingly and include more grade-appropriate activities such as microscopy related to the brain, lessons on neurons and how they work, and/or engaging out-of-seat activities to learn about how neurons send information to one another!
