As a scientist and author, I'm happy to provide multiple services.

I'm happy to help STEM (or other!) writers either with critiques or consultations. My undergraduate degree is in neuroscience with a minor in mathematics. My masters and Ph.D. degrees are in cell and molecular biology. I have taught everything from chemistry to poetry, and feel comfortable advising on all topics STEM-related. I can also help with literature searches, including research papers comprehension.

On the writing side, I have mentored writers at various stages, and served as a mentor for the Inked Voices program. I spend hours thinking about your manuscript and can deconstruct it, analyze story elements, and help you identify what is or is not working.

I'm also happy to review pitches, query letters, and strategize. As a data-loving scientist, I have tracked my own querying statistics and data, and have thoughts on how best to approach this grueling process. I was lucky to have multiple agent offers on my first querying round, and am happy to strategize with you, accordingly.

I'm usually able to critique your work within 2-3 weeks.

"Danna is an incredible resource for any writer looking to level up their manuscript. Her big smile, positive approach and vast knowledge of the book industry are invaluable. She provided big picture and line edits that transformed my manuscript into something magical. I felt encouraged, inspired and excited to move forward with my revisions, which is something I typically dread. Danna is truly gifted at what she does and any author would be lucky to work with her."
